Who we are
We are a group of broken, flawed, and messed up people who have found hope in Jesus Christ. He lifted us out of the darkness of despair, bound up our broken hearts, and gave us a purpose. We may never be perfect on our own, but we can be perfect in Him. We are redeemed. We are a family. We are the church of Jesus Christ, and we want to share His offer of salvation with the world.
Where we come from
LMCC was established in the late 1950's, and first held services in a house that still stands on the property. Over the years we've outgrown the house and gone through two building expansions, with another on the horizon. Lake Mount is a church that combines the close, family atmosphere of a small church with the energy and opportunities of a large church. We are looking to the future, and cannot wait to see what the Lord will do through LMCC.
Where we're headed
We are commanded to be a city on a hill, and a light in the darkness. We want to be exactly that. We are focused on spreading the gospel of Jesus to our community, our county, and beyond. We are focused on bringing new people into the Lord's church and converting them to faith in Jesus. Not an empty, talk-the-talk kind of faith, but a living, saving faith in Jesus Christ that brings about a radical change in people's lives. We want to make disciples who know how to make disciples. That's what Jesus did. It's what the early church did. It's what we're commanded to do.
What this means for you
What does this mean for you? It means you're welcome here, just as you are. You don't need to have it all together. You don't need to worry about what people will think. You can find a place where people will love and accept you here at LMCC. You are not alone. Jesus loves you, and we will too.
